Sample Report: 3D Films

We conducted a social media report on 3D films to see what the public think about them. Do they prefer them to 2D? What are the main reasons people like them – or what are the main issues?

Some key findings from the 1000 analysed social media comments about 3D:

  • No 3D movies have lived up to Avatar since its release in 2009.
  • Complaints include: high prices, uncomfortable glasses, inappropriate use of 3D, underwhelming 3D effects, heavy-handed 3D use and headaches.
  • Viewer sentiment shows a clear swing from positive anticipation to negative post-viewing reflection.
