January 16th, 2012. Posted by Hannah EmanuelBrandwatch has once again teamed up with Headstream in a search for the top 100 social brands.
Brands have until February 10th to have their name put forward. The report, an authoritative ranking of those brands succeeding in the social age, will be published in May 2012. The ranking is also supported by exclusive media partner, Brand Republic.
Nominations:
Nominations are being crowdsourced through the Twitter account @SocialBrands100. To nominate any brand simply send a tweet to @SocialBrands100 with the brand name, and the hashtag #sb100. More information, and access to the 2011 report, can be found at www.socialbrands100.com.
The Social Brands 100, launched by social brand agency Headstream in 2011 and powered by Brandwatch, measures genuine engagement based on an in-depth study of a brand’s content and behaviour on social platforms. The data analytics behind the report are conducted by Brandwatch, using complex algorithms to measure the social media standing of each brand in terms of engagement and response as well as a variety of other social media metrics.
In 2011 Dell came out at the top of the Social Brands 100 ranking, a list that included brands from 20 different sectors, including Retail, FMCG and Entertainment.
