Updates: Brandwatch Earns Leader Status in New G2 Crowd Rankings

In a recent Juniper Research study, it was discovered that 90% of consumers admit that their buying decisions are influenced by online reviews.

Think about it – when was the last time you bought something blind? I know that when I’m looking to book a holiday, I’ll check TripAdvisor.

If I want to buy a new bike, I’ll check out forums. If I want to get a takeaway, even, I’ll check the Just Eat ratings. There’s no way I’m ordering anything that’s going to take over an hour to arrive. No way.

Consumers are increasingly trusting online reviews as much as, if not more than, their friends and family.

At the click of a button, a swipe of a touchscreen, we have the opinions and thoughts on pretty much anything we could possibly need to research. Much more convenient than sending out a group text asking for recommendations, for sure.

As a social technology company, we know exactly how we are being perceived online, and we’re transparent about it.

Our six-screen Vizia display in our reception area broadcasts what people are saying about us online in real-time, and we certainly don’t censor it. We love to know what we’re doing right, and what we need to improve on.

This visibility allows us to continually hone and improve our products and keep our customers happy. We need it.

Leading the pack

The thing is, of course we can tell you what we think we’re doing well. We can promote it when we do something we’re happy with. We could tell you that we think we’re doing a great job at X, Y or Z. But it means so much more when it doesn’t come from us.

We are delighted to announce that we have been named as the only Leader in the social media monitoring space in the software review site G2 Crowd’s new Spring 2015 Report.

Based on a combination of scores, each software solution in the rankings is categorized as a Leader, High Performer, Contender, or Niche. You can see where we fit in, below.

The updated GridSM report for social media monitoring is based on data taken from over 400 reviews from business and marketing professionals, and factors in the satisfaction customers feel towards the products and service they receive, as well as the market presence of each contender.

“Leaders offer social media monitoring products that are rated highly by G2 Crowd users and have substantial scale, market share, and global support and service resources. Leaders products include: Brandwatch”

– G2 Crowd

Having been reviewed nearly 70 times and been given a normalized satisfaction score of 97, it’s clear that our clients are happy with how we are performing – something we find so, so important.

In the 2014 Forrester Wave Report we scored highest in the customer rating category, so we were delighted to learn that we earned the highest overall customer satisfaction score of all the vendors included in this G2 Crowd report – reflecting that this is an area we invest so very much in – in time, resource and talent.

The reviews behind the results

Of course these headline figures are great, but it’s even better to be able to read through the reviews that got us there.

Being able to see exactly what our customers believe are our key benefits, our problems and their views on the job we are doing overall is what makes G2 Crowd such a great platform.

Each review is verified to keep the quality high, and more importantly, authentic. We’re able to read the real, uncensored thoughts from the very people using our tool.

If you’re one of our customers, thank you! Thank you for helping us improve, learn and grow. You can download the full report below.

2015 looks to be the best Brandwatch year yet.
