Job responsibilities

Due to our rapid expansion we are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team of developers and systems administration staff in Brighton (UK).

  • To create high quality Spanish content on behalf of Brandwatch, from website copy and events collateral to reports and blog posts.
  • To assist in the creation of a Spanish social media strategy that meets marketing’s wider goals of amplification of content, engagement with customers and other targets.
  • To take the lead in Spanish or LATAM-focused activities when they arise, from on-the-ground event coordination to outreach programmes and regional content production.
Core responsibilities
  • Creating, translating and planning materials for the launch of Brandwatch’s formal online presence in Spanish regions, including the release of a website specifically tailored for latin markets
  • Designing and evolving the company’s Spanish social media strategy, including the day-to-day management of key social media channels. (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, SlideShare, etc.)
  • Identifying and establishing relationships with prominent bloggers and social media influencers.
  • Create and manage blog syndication with external websites.
  • Attending, coordinating and assisting in the organisation of industry events in Spanish-speaking markets.
  • Helping to create and then follow briefs for producing Spanish language marketing content to the highest standard and in line with company values, in an intuitive and autonomous manner.
  • Represent Brandwatch in relevant discussions on Twitter, Linkedin, Quora, industry blogs and other social media platforms.
  • Using Google Analytics, Brandwatch and other measurement tools to provide ongoing reports on performance.
  • To manage part of the workflow of leads from social activity to the Sales and SDR teams.
  • To be the lead on marketing initiatives when handling Spanish/LATAM region-specific activities online.
Salary range: £18-22k plus significant bonuses, depending on candidate, and there will be plenty of room to increase this as you progress in the role. We are looking for a capable Junior Linux Systems Administrator to manage our hardware operations. The role will part of the Systems Team based in Brighton (UK). The role will be primarily focused on the maintenance of our production and development hardware estate, running a mixture of Debian GNU/Linux and OpenBSD. The role is intended either as an entry level Systems Administration role or as gateway role to allow a candidate with existing IT experience to reskill towards Linux Systems Administration. Responsibilities:
  • Working with other members of the team to maintain Brandwatch’s 350+ server estate, including installation, cabling, auditing and removal
  • Working with our colocation and hardware providers to ensure all dependent services can be delivered efficiently
  • Improving and developing the Linux build automation systems
  • Tracking advances in server and data centre infrastructure, and promoting change on that basis
  • Learning from and with the other members of the System team
Requisites for the role are:
  • 3+ years experience running and installing Linux on bare metal
  • A methodical approach to asset tracking and provisioning
  • Ability to debug hardware issues, working with vendors to resolve
  • issues where necessary

Nice to haves:
