Big Boulder Conference 2015: Creating the Future of Social Data

This month the top guns here at Brandwatch will be embarking on an annual pilgrimage.

Not the Spanish Camino, and not exactly to Mecca, but rather the social analyst’s version – over in Boulder. We’re trekking our way across the globe from Brighton, New York and San Francisco all the way to Colorado for the Big Boulder Initiative (BBI)’s annual gathering.

In the advent of online advertising and the hypercompetitive state of the tech conference world, you may be tired of hearing about ‘the next best tech conference’.

You’ll have to trust us when we say, the Big Boulder Conference is truly the best in class, and we’d love to see you there.

Our CMO wants you!

Actually, don’t take my word for it – hear what our esteemed CMO Will McInnes, founding member of BBI, had to say about the annual get together.

“If you go to Boulder for those two days, wandering around the beautiful Colorado mountainside, you’ll make connections with the top dogs in the social analytics industry. Everyone there makes up THE list of smart people you want to know.”

Conversations at Big Boulder are guaranteed to be curated for quality, with a focus on innovation.

Swap your black tux for your plaid button-down and you’ll fit right in.

No sponsors allowed

Running the conference is the BBI, the first trade association for the social data industry.

The goal of BBI is to bring together companies and people within the social data ecosystem to address as a community the key challenges that face the industry.

The emphasis here is on quality of conversation, rather than quantity of dollars raised by the conference. This is reflected in the lack of sponsoring vendors and booths that you find at most – perhaps all – conferences in the industry.

Speakers are handpicked by the Initiative and consist of top social media sources, industry leaders, and premier consumers of publicly-available social data, who will discuss trends, best practices, use cases, and the future of the industry.

Represented on the speaker list are the most innovative in tech, the most forward thinking professors, and some of the biggest retail brands in the country.

If you have dreams about social data…

Whatever your industry may be, if social data makes its way in your daily routine, this is the conference you want to attend to gain insights you won’t find sitting at your desk.

Even if you’re the most experienced social analytics whiz in your office, heading out to Boulder will provide you with fresh perspective on processes or challenges you encounter with peers who are ready to geek out over data, in an amazing setting.

A variety of companies sit on the BBI board (Coke, IBM, Twitter, Bitly, Brandwatch and more), ensuring that each area of business is explored in regards to its future role with social data via great, open, and honest conversation.

There really is something for everyone at the conference. In fact, you may bump shoulders with Taylor Hanson of Hanson who is speaking about the ‘Data Behind Record Sales’.

If TED is ideas worth sharing, BBI is social data worth understanding.

Register soon for a guaranteed amazing two days at the Big Boulder Conference 2015. We hope to see you there!
