Track The Buzz While You Tweet With Brandwatch in Seesmic
Seesmic is looking to become the social media professional’s Twitter client of choice by adding a social media monitoring plugin from Brandwatch.
Brandwatch has created the plugin for Seesmic Desktop aimed at users who want to monitor a particular brand or topic across the whole internet without having to leave their Twitter client. Until now, users were limited to single source searches in Seesmic such as Twitter or LinkedIn, but with the Brandwatch plugin they can run a search that covers the entire web and monitor it continuously.
To use the plugin, users must first have the Seesmic Desktop application installed and the plugin can then be accessed by visiting the Marketplace within Seesmic.
The information is pulled using the main Brandwatch system, and then presented in a column which constantly updates to display live data for the search from all over the web, right alongside the users’ Twitter feeds, Facebook feeds and so on.

The news comes as Brandwatch prepare to extend their offering in the US, opening an office in New York in July.
