It seems like it was only yesterday that we decided to host our first Brandwatch Masterclass.
In fact, it’s been a whole year since we first invited our clients to come and learn more about the platform while getting to meet all of their favorite Brandwatchers.
We were scared and excited. Would our clients want to attend an event that was all about us? We needn’t have been nervous.
Excited to find out what we can do with @Brandwatch today! A social media nerd’s paradise. #brandwatchtips

Since that first event, we’ve hosted classes in three different cities, across three countries – meeting clients in New York, London and Berlin.
On Friday the 13th (unlucky for some but not for us) we hosted our latest installment, returning back to the UK.
We saw old friends and new faces as clients came to brush up on their Brandwatch knowledge, as well as uncovering all the latest news from us.
During the day we greeted over 130 Brandwatch users who had come to learn some new #BrandwatchTips and listen to presentations given by our advocates.
We welcomed some big names on the day, including the founders of the Check One Two campaign, brothers Andrew and Simon Salter, as well as The Socializers who spoke about command centers and how they’ve used Brandwatch Vizia.
It was amazing to hear how passionate our users are about the platform and all the different ways that Brandwatch is being used to monitor success across the board.
If you want to read more about how clients are using Brandwatch we have a ton of content all ready for you!
Our team never ceases to astound us with all their Brandwatch knowledge, and they certainly didn’t disappoint.
Members of staff from the Sales to the Professional Services teams took to the stage to demonstrate how brands and agencies can use the platform effectively.
Hopefully, we taught you a few new tricks to make your days a little easier.
We covered topics such as consumer trends, social media reporting and identifying influencers.
Unfortunately not everyone could attend Masterclass. But, we do have a host of useful blog posts on how to use social media monitoring effectively to browse at your leisure, and you can check out the presentations from the day here.
During the event we encouraged attendees to get vocal on social.
We received 781 mentions during the day with everyone getting behind our hashtag #brandwatchtips – it was used 404 times.
Tweeters also showed their support to the Feeling Nuts campaign discussed by Check One Two and used their hashtag 22 times.
Looking at the conversation around the Masterclass we could see that it peaked during the 2pm sessions, helping The Socializers be crowned the most engaging session of the day.
We also hosted a Vizia display throughout the day that showed all the different topics and top mentions.
It came in handy when announcing our top Tweet from the day. Coral Summers won for gaining the most RTs with her declaration of girl power.
Loving how many speakers (and attendees) at @Brandwatch‘s masterclass are female. Girls can be nerds too! #brandwatchtips — Coral Summers (@coralsummers) March 13, 2015
We are constantly learning, just like our clients, so having these Masterclass teaches us not only what our customers need, but also how quickly the industry is evolving.
