A New Homepage for Brandwatch Analytics
By Jane ZupanJun 4
As we try to do as much as possible, we have listened to client feedback and introduced new functionality to Brandwatch’s Alerts feature: Alerts can now be sent to multiple recipients, including those without Brandwatch logins!
This enhancement is of great use for a number of purposes, whether you want to keep a wider circle of people in the loop about what’s happening for your brand online or whether you have alerts that apply to certain teams as opposed to just one person.
Reminder: What are Brandwatch Alerts?
Brandwatch Alerts come in the form of an email, where we display the top 5 most relevant mentions depending on the parameters and filters set by the creator of the alert:
Each of the top 5 mentions have a link to the web-page they were found on, and the remaining mentions can be viewed in Brandwatch by following the link at the bottom of the email.
To create an alert:
1. Load a dashboard.
2. Add a Mentions component to the dashboard.
3. Configure the Mentions component.
4. Click the “create alert” link in the controls.
New Functionality: Sharing Alerts
Now when creating an alert a new option will appear to add multiple email addresses to the recipients list:
There is no limit to how many emails can be added to the list (when more than 5 are added the list will become scollable) – any email address can be added to the list whether they are fellow Brandwatch users but or people with no access to Brandwatch.
Once an email is added to the list, the suggested recipient will receive an email asking them to confirm that they wish to receive the alert:
NB: Those without Brandwatch access should contact the alert setter if they wish to view the remaining mentions.
To manage alerts, click on the Alerts button at the top of any Brandwatch page and edit/pause/delete the alert as before. A Recipients column has been added – hover over it to see if your recipients have accepted your email alert or whether it is still pending:
We hope you find this a useful update. As always, don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
