Introducing Audience Uploads
By Mercedes Lois BullNov 18
It has been a while since our last Product Update, so here is a quick recap of the main improvements we made to Brandwatch over the last month.
First, a new NEAR/n search operator is available when defining queries or searching within mentions. It can be used to specify two sub-queries to be found within “n” words. For example, try:
(president OR barrack) NEAR/4 (obama OR USA)
Third, components and workspaces can now cover a rolling (as opposed to fixed) date range. In a controls box, simply untick the ‘Fixed date range’ checkbox, then say how many days should be covered (7, 30, etc). Then each time you reload the component or workspace, the date range will automatically be updated. That way you are sure to be looking at recent data, without having to change the date setting every day.
Fourth, we have added a mozRank filter to all components. This filter allows you to focus on sites with a certain level of popularity.
Fifth, in the Mentions component and pop-ups, you can now summarise the data by switching to a Phrase Cloud view. This new view, generated on the fly, shows you which main subjects are being discussed in the mentions. You can click on a particular Phrase to view sub-phrases.
Finally, we have improved again the speed of our Crawlers and Dashboard, to get you even more data, more quickly.
