We’ve released a few updates into Brandwatch this week:
Official Support of Chinese
New Keyboard Shortcut
Search Within Tags
‘Contact Us’ Link
Official Support of Chinese
We are always working on adding coverage of new languages to Brandwatch and currently support 17 languages with specially trained sentiment analysis classifiers for each.
The latest addition to our language support is Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified) which is a big step forward for us. We have also already trained sentiment classifiers for the automobile, electronics, pharmaceutical, food and videogames industries.
To select different languages, choose from the list found in the “Create a query” box.
New Keyboard Shortcut
A couple of weeks ago, one of our clients tweeted saying “Liking the keyboard shortcuts on @brandwatch (but can you add one for starred mentions?) #socialmediamonitoring”.
Within an hour, our UX team in our German office had picked up the tweet and implemented the requested feature into the staging version of Brandwatch.
With the feature being released this week, we thought it was a good example to demonstrate how seriously we take feedback and endeavour to ensure Brandwatch meets our customers’ high standards.
Here’s a reminder of the keyboard shortcuts for use when running through mentions in the mention-view window, with the newly added shortcut to star mentions:
Search Within Tags
Another piece of feedback we have received from clients is that they use lots of different tags when handling their data, so they want to be able to search through the tags and filter by them accordingly.
Take a look at a brief update document from Helen our Trainer for more on this one.
‘Contact Us’ Link
To make sure our clients are supported every step of the way, we’ve added a “Contact Us” link to the drop-down menu, visible at the top right of any Brandwatch screen:
We hope you find these updates useful and, as always, we look forward to more feedback.

From May 8th, all Crimson Hexagon products are now on the Brandwatch website. You’ll find them under ‘Products’ in the navigation. If you’re an existing customer and you want to know more, your account manager will be happy to help.
