Vote Now For Your Favourite Technology4Good Finalist

The finalists have been announced, and the Technology4Good People’s Choice Award voting is now open. We’re keeping track of the buzz, so get involved and get tweeting!

The Technology4Good Awards celebrate the work of people who use computers and the internet to make the world a better place. We’re proud to be helping out with the awards because, with technology at the heart of our company, we really value the worth and possibilities of computers and the internet.

Hannah Tregear, Customer Marketing Manager and events coordinator here at Brandwatch says:

“We think the Technology4Good Awards are really worthwhile. We’re thrilled to be involved; we think it’s important to support the development of technology for worthwhile causes and local communities. There are some amazing individuals and organisations in the final, who have done brilliantly to be selected from over 200 entries. We wish them all the best of luck in the awards.”

There are 8 categories within the awards and winners will be announced on the 4th of July, judged by an expert panel. However, you can also cast your vote for your favourite overall entry in the People’s Choice Award.

To choose your favourite from the 24 finalists you can either fill in a voting form on the website or, even better, spread the word and tweet with the unique hashtag for the finalist you want to win. Brandwatch will be tracking all of the hashtags, and the finalist with the most votes and online buzz will win the People’s Choice Award.

The power is in your hands; use it wisely.

So here’s how to vote:

Send a Tweet that includes your finalist’s hashtag (see below) and a link to the voting page (You can also include @Tech4GoodAwards if you like) – something like this:

We’ll be monitoring all of the hashtags and the finalist who gets the most votes will be crowned the People’s Choice, so make sure you vote for your favourite finalist and spread the word to get others to join you in voting.

But hurry! The deadline is midnight on the 30th of June 2013, so get tweeting ASAP.

You can find out a bit more about all of the finalists and which awards they’re up for here.
