As we continue to expand our Agency Client Services team, we are hiring a Junior Account Manager (or Client Services Executive) to help service and manage a diverse portfolio of agency clients. As a CSE, you will work to develop close interpersonal relationships with agency clients, while providing technical and strategic platform guidance and determining opportunities for revenue growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Become an expert on the Brandwatch platform
  • Manage the onboarding of new clients and agency teams
  • Provide technical and strategic support
  • Communicate product and service updates
  • Manage account renewals for your client base, collaborating with Group Managers about retention strategy and upsell, when relevant

Research Analyst – New York

Introduction to the role

This role sits in the Research Services team, reporting to the Research Manager. The purpose of our team is to help clients use social data to make better decisions and to understand their customers. The analysis skills needed are largely qualitative; it is important that the candidate is skilled in interpreting meaning from textual data.

The successful candidate will be commercially minded, and able to demonstrate that they can understand consumer motivations and translate these into suggested actions for a business. We are looking for someone who is happy being ‘in’ the data- analysing and finding meaning- and able to think critically and spot trends.

Job responsibilities;

  • Conducting analyses following a customized client brief. Writing bespoke one-off and regular reports, working with account managers to ensure delivery is on time, on budget and to client’s satisfaction.
  • Present your research back to the client (both face to face and over the phone) and hold Q&A sessions regarding your work.
  • Project managing/co-ordinating other contributors to complete parts of larger reports.
  • Suggesting and creating compelling research for sales collateral, our blog, industry events and so on.

Skills required/Experience;

  • 2+ years experience in a commercial research environment, ideally with some exposure to working with social media data.

  • An analytical mind and can make sense of qualitative data and make recommendations based on consumer trends.
  • Strongly analytical, with the ability to highlight the interesting/actionable finding in a broad and complex dataset.

German-speaking Customer Success Executive, Emerging Accounts

In this role, you will work directly with clients to help troubleshoot problems, guide strategy, share best practices, and, ultimately, drive retention across the segment. Data is the life-blood of a company like Brandwatch, and as we approach the petabyte mark, the challenges we face are interesting and rewarding. We are looking for someone who would find these challenges interesting and rewarding too.  

You will be joining the team responsible for the data storage and retrieval systems, primarily focusing on Solr, HBase, Hadoop, Zookeeper and Kafka. Some familiarity with PostgreSQL databases would be beneficial, though this is not a primary responsibility of this role.

We are looking for someone who is smart, capable, enthusiastic and willing to learn these systems in greater depth. You will be part of the 24×7 support rota covering these systems, so will need to coolly handle incidents on the platforms and more importantly be working to preempt any issues.

  • Working with the rest of the team to maintain our production Hadoop, HBase, Solr and Kafka infrastructure on a 24×7 basis
  • Identify performance bottlenecks in the platform, including: deep-diving into the source-code to identify issues with the storage systems and working very closely with the developer teams to avoid anti-patterns, and identifying workable alternatives if so

What you need:

  • Solid experience with commercial web-based testing
  • Experience across both Manual and Automation Testing frameworks
  • Hands-on experience of working with Automation Testing tools, here we use Capybara and Cucumber
  • Proficient in developing test scripts from scratch using Ruby or similar
  • Proficiency in QA processes and agile development, including Behaviour Driven Development
  • Advanced knowledge of a range of web browsers and operating systems

  • Work day-to-day on Vizia, a complex single-page application served from Node.js
