Coinbase: International Women’s Day

We conducted research for Coinbase for International Women's Day 2019, assessing the different gender perceptions with regards to the financial markets.

Client commissioning the Survey:

Coinbase Inc.

Population effectively sampled:

All adults aged 18+ with access to a internet-enabled smartphone or tablet in the United Kingdom and United States.

Sampling Method:

A sample was selected from the general smartphone audience. Participants were invited to take part in the survey by showing them adverts in mobile apps. This method can be described as river sampling. The proportion of respondents recruited via a particular app is determined by the demographics of its users. This allows for the collection of representative samples.

Sample Size:

2,989 adults aged 18+

Data Weighting:

Responses were weighted to the profile of all adults aged 18+. Data was weighted by age, gender and region (NUTS-1 level). Age and gender weights are based on data from census.gov, region weights are from the Office for National Statistics.

Questions:

The computer tables attached in Excel format show each question, in full, in the order they were put to respondents, all response codes and the weighted and unweighted bases for all demographics and other data including but not limited that published.
